What a tag describes
StyleBound attaches tags to complete outfits and to item looks that may be shared by several items. A tag is not an item stat or an official game category. It is a simple way for players to connect looks using a recognizable idea.
You may not see a dedicated browse page for a new or rarely used tag right away. The tag can still help organize outfits inside StyleBound while more players use it.
Choose an existing tag first
On the submission form or an outfit page, start typing in the tag search. Results show existing names and usage. Selecting the existing term keeps equivalent ideas together instead of creating spelling and punctuation variants.
Outfit owners can apply approved tags directly to their own outfit, up to the limit displayed by the interface. A suggestion from another player starts an add vote.
Propose a missing tag
If search finds no matching term, enter a new name. StyleBound cleans up the name, checks it for blocked language, and sends it for community review. Creating a term does not make it an approved tag immediately.
Use a concise concept other players can recognize from the outfit or item look. Personal notes belong in the outfit description rather than in a one-use tag.
Review additions and removals
Signed-in users can open Tag Review or use the review control shown around the site. Each card asks a concrete question: whether a tag should exist, fit an outfit or item look, or be removed.
Choose yes when the tag fits and no when it does not. The card shows the current totals. Once enough people agree, StyleBound applies or rejects the change automatically; one person's click is not treated as community agreement.
Correct a tag that does not fit
Use the challenge control beside a confirmed tag to start a removal vote. A confirmed community removal prevents the same tag from being immediately suggested again for that outfit or item look.
For an item-data or moderation problem that voting cannot express, use Feedback. Do not create a corrective tag as a workaround.
Add tags while submitting
The submission guide shows where tags fit alongside screenshots, descriptive fields, and gear. Tags improve discovery, but they do not replace a clear title or the visual evidence in screenshots.
